SHIPPING POLICY

SHIPPING INFORMATION

1917 Straps Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to delivering your order accurately, in good condition and on time. This shipping policy outlines our practices regarding shipping, delivery times, costs and related matters.

PROCESSING TIME

All orders are processed within 1-4 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays).

You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been placed, followed by a dispatch notification email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.

SHIPPING RATES AND DELIVERY ESTIMATES

We offer the following shipping options:

UK Mainland Shipping

  • Royal Mail Tracked 48 - £1.99 (2 business days)
  • FREE Shipping on orders over £50 (3-5 business days)

International Shipping

  • Europe - £14.99 (5-10 business days)
  • Rest of World - From £23.99 (10-21 business days)

DELIVERY TIMES

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Times are calculated from the date of dispatch, not the date of order.

Factors that may affect delivery times include:

  • Postal service delays
  • Incorrect shipping information
  • Customs processing (international orders)
  • Weather conditions
  • Peak periods (e.g., Christmas)

CUSTOMS, DUTIES AND TAXES (INTERNATIONAL ORDERS)

For international shipments:

  • You are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and brokerage fees
  • These charges are determined by your local customs office
  • We are required to declare the full value of goods on customs forms
  • We cannot mark items as "gifts" or declare lower values

Please check with your local customs office for potential charges before ordering.

ORDER TRACKING

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with:

  • Your tracking number
  • A link to track your package
  • The courier service used

You can also track your order by logging into your account on our website.

MISSING OR LOST PACKAGES

If your package has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe:

  1. Check the tracking information
  2. Check with neighbours or your local sorting office
  3. Contact us at shipping@1917straps.com within 30 days of dispatch

We will investigate with the courier and, if the package is confirmed lost, we will either resend your order or issue a full refund.

DAMAGED ITEMS

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Take photos of the damaged packaging and items
  2. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at shipping@1917straps.com
  3. Include your order number and photos

We will arrange for a replacement or refund as appropriate.

EXCHANGES

If you've ordered the wrong size, we're happy to help with an exchange. Here's how it works:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to request an exchange
  2. Place a new order for the correct size
  3. Return the original item to us at your own expense (we'll provide return instructions)
  4. Receive your refund - once we receive the returned item, we'll issue a full refund for your original order

Important: We appreciate it can be tricky to fit a strap when it's an incorrect size and bending may occur, but it's important straps be returned in their original condition - unworn and undamaged. We can only process exchanges and refunds for items in resaleable condition.

This process ensures you receive the correct size quickly whilst we handle the refund for your original purchase.

INCORRECT DELIVERY ADDRESS

Please ensure your shipping address is correct before placing your order. We cannot be responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by customers.

If you notice an error after placing your order, contact us immediately. We may be able to update the address if the order has not yet been dispatched.

DELIVERY ATTEMPTS

If you are not available when delivery is attempted:

  • The courier may leave the package with a neighbour
  • The package may be left in a safe place
  • A delivery note will be left with redelivery instructions
  • The package may be returned to your local depot

Uncollected packages will be returned to us after the courier's holding period (usually 18 days).

SHIPPING DURING PEAK PERIODS

During peak periods (Black Friday, Christmas, etc.):

  • Processing times may increase to 3-5 business days
  • Delivery times may be extended
  • We recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment

RETURNS SHIPPING

For returns within the UK:

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty
  • We recommend using a tracked service
  • Keep proof of postage until your refund is processed
